Service Description

Relax, unwind and be one with nature with this absolute treat of a full 4.5-hour workshop experience. This is a holistically creative and indulgent workshop set in the heart of a heritage textile mill. You will be introduced to mindfulness practices through the art of clay play. Learn how to capture the fine beauty of nature in detail whilst learning in-depth about materials as well as clay techniques such as slab building and mould making. You will also gain experience in composition and safe practice with plaster whilst casting your own plaque (approx. 6" x 6"). Whilst the casts are curing you will get to indulge in freshly baked cakes supplied by Lowton Cake Company and hot/cold drinks. Once the casts are ready, you will learn best practices for cleaning and finishing your casts. Due to the materials used this workshop can be quite messy so old clothes are advised, and aprons will be provided. All materials and botanicals will be provided but you are also welcome to bring your own botanicals if you wish. Due to the nature of this workshop, the finished result will be ever-changing with the seasons. This is a group workshop and also includes light refreshments and cake.

Cancellation Policy

Due to the nature of the materials involved in the workshop, we advise suitable clothes are worn as it may get messy. Step in the Picture accepts no liability for any damages to clothes, jewellery or personal belongings whilst participating in a workshop. Step in the Picture reserves the right to amend, postpone or cancel a workshop, this includes if the minimum number of workshop participants is not met. In such circumstances, I will endeavour to provide an alternative date, credit or full refund at my discretion. All workshop fees include a 50% non-refundable deposit, if you wish to cancel your place on a workshop I will accept notice no less than 2 weeks before the workshop is due to take place. Step in the Picture will offer an alternative date where possible or a refund of 50% of the ticket value, I regret I do not offer full refunds. For the safety of the staff and everyone participating in the workshops please do not attend if you have any Covid symptoms or have been told to self-isolate. In this circumstance, please inform Step in the Picture before the workshop taking place so an alternative date can be arranged. If the event is advertised with food, please contact Step in the Picture at least 1 week in advance if you have any dietary requirements so these can be passed on to the catering company.
