Introduction to Botanical Casting - Summer Special PM Workshop

Step into Summer and take time out to relax around nature, learning the technique of capturing the finest detail nature has to offer through plaster relief casting.

A holistically creative workshop where you'll be introduced to the wonders of nature in detail and learn how to preserve the beauty of the outdoors into a beautiful cast you can hang in your home.

This 3hr workshop is a brilliant way to have a go at something new or just to take some time out for yourself.  The workshop begins with a journey through the grounds of Leigh Spinners Mill, exploring the different plants, and their unique shape, structure, and textures.  You will then get hands-on with clay to mindfully learn the art of creating a botanical bas-relief.  By the end of the workshop, you will have made your very own botanical cast as a unique memory of Leigh Spinners Mill, as well as learning a little bit of the history of the place too!

Due to the materials used this workshop can be quite messy so old clothes are advised however aprons will be provided.

All materials and botanicals will be provided but you are also welcome to bring your own botanicals if you wish.
